Communications studies deals with the conditions, structures, functions and effects of media and communcation as well as with their historical development.

DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)
The German Academic Exchange Service is one of the world's largest and most respected intermediary organisations in its field. The DAAD supports and promotes all fields of science, research, language, teaching and much more. A very comprehensive site with highly useful information for foreign students in Germany.
